Small Business Association has extremely low interest loans, with no payment for 1 year and 30 year term for businesses and homeowners.

Washington State Disaster Assistance

Governor Bob Ferguson is urging people whose homes were damaged December’s historic flooding to apply for $2.5 million in state assistance to help with their immediate needs.

Those who suffered damage during the storm are encouraged to submit an Unmet Needs Assessment Form. Impacted individuals should visit SAHelp.org and enter their zip code to start the process. After you fill out the form, case managers will determine eligibility for Household Needs Grants, which help cover costs associated with recovery to include short-term housing, small home repairs, and food replacement.

Evacuation levels

Use these evacuation level descriptions to plan and act during an emergency.

Level 1 READY – A threat is in your area. Be aware of the danger in your area and get ready to evacuate.
- Monitor local media and share the threat with neighbors and family.
- Add essential items to your go kit.
- Review your plan. Check evacuation routes and shelter locations.
- Prepare both the inside and outside of your home.
- Leave if you feel unsafe.
Level 2 SET – Short notice evacuation is likely in your area. Be prepared for sudden evacuation. Leave now if you need extra time.
- Finalize your evacuation route and where you will go.
- Ensure your go kit is in your evacuation vehicle.
- Continue to monitor local media.
- Leave if you feel unsafe.
Level 3 GO! – Evacuate immediately from your area. Leave now. There is danger in your area.
- Follow directions from 911, police, fire departments, or local government agencies.
- Do not return home until officials have determined it is safe.

If you are a resident or business that incurred damage and losses during the recent flooding event, fill out the Initial Damage Assessment form.
Livestock information:
- If you need help with livestock while recovering from the flood, including requests for feed, please reach out to Skagit Animals in Need (SAIN) at info@skagitanimalsinneed.org or on Facebook.
- Skagit Valley Humane Society has very limited space for small animals. Contact (360) 757-0445 or info@skagithumane.org.
- For small animals and reptiles, call Forgotten Animal Kingdom at (425) 210-3807.
- Stranded or abandoned animals needing assistance: call 911 or the non-emergency line to dispatch (360) 428-3211.

Note: Skagit County Emergency Operations is not coordinating centralized volunteer efforts at this time. If you are interested in volunteering or providing donations in support of flood relief, please use the list below or reach out to local service organizations or non-profits.

Skagit Community Foundation Disaster Relief Fund

Skagit Community Foundation has activated the Skagit Disaster Relief Fund to help address the urgent and emerging needs of our community. To donate or learn more, visit www.skagitcf.org/disaster-relief.

Skagit Volunteer Center

Are you an organization or nonprofit that needs volunteers to help after recent flooding in Skagit County? Or, are you an individual or group who wants to volunteer to help neighbors impacted by flooding?

Community Action of Skagit County provides this free resource for organizations to post volunteer needs, and for volunteers to find local groups to help. Every day, the Skagit Volunteer Center has over 200 nonprofit partners who post volunteer opportunities, and now there is a special page specifically for flood response.

Some nonprofit organizations and community groups listed on the Skagit Volunteer Center Flood Response and Recovery page may be equipped to receive and distribute smaller donations of food, clothing, hygiene items and household goods to their clients or the community. Animal Feed Distribution Center

Skagit County Emergency Operations is coordinating donations for the animal feed distribution center. Clean, non-moldy, dry hay in square bales is accepted. Small animal feed is also accepted.

Please bring donations to 13421 Farm to Market Rd, Mount Vernon, WA 98273 between 11:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. until further notice.

If you have large bales of hay or need large bales of hay, contact Emily Diaz at emilyd@co.skagit.wa.us.

Skagit Food Distribution Center

The Community Action's Skagit Food Distribution Center’s warehouse and cold storage facility is equipped to receive large donations of food, and to distribute it quickly to 20+ food banks and meal programs in Skagit, San Juan and Island counties, and via senior food box deliveries to low-income seniors. The Food Distribution Center is able to accept cases, crates and pallets of food, up to semi-truck loads that require loading docks and forklifts for transfer.
